Each week students have a minimum of two assignments to complete. Yes, there will sometimes be more...
Article of the Week (AOW) - the article of the week is an article that students are given every Monday. They complete annotations and turn in by Wednesday. On Friday, students receive their AOW back, and complete an in-class assignment with the article, due the same day.
Vocabulary - students receive vocabulary to practice each week. They receive their vocab on Tuesday and it is due on Thursday.
If your student makes the 'I don't have homework' statement...please ask if they have completed their English Vocab and AOW.

Travels with Charley in Search of America
September 2025 - Seniors in Applied Communications have started the novel, "Travels with Charley in Search of America" by John Steinbeck. We are using this as our anchor text to further our understanding on our unit, Identity and Choices. Seniors will work together, as a class, to understand Steinbeck's journey and the lesson's he set out to share along his travels.
